Here we see John Pomeroy (1873–1950), a New Zealander who developed the Pomeroy bullet, an exploding bullet designed for use against the Zeppelins that were raiding Britain during the First World War and had proved very hard to shoot down. Most aircraft sent up against airships fired a mix of Pomeroy, Brook and Buckingham bullets, so it isn't easy to say which design was responsible for the successes that were then achieved.

Looks at the history of the Brock firework family and the life of Frank Brock, the inventor of the bullet that played a major role in shooting down Zeppelins, as well as a series of inventions for use against the U-boat menace, and a new form of smoke screen that was essential for the Zeebrugge Raid.
