Pembroke Lodge Hospital for Officers, c.1917-18
Here we see some of the wounded outside Pembroke Lodge Hospital for Officers, Kensington, the residence of Bonar Law. In December 1916 he became Chancellor of the Exchecker in Lloyd George's coalition government, and moved into No.11 Downing Street. He then offered his house for use as a hospital for the rest of the war. This Pembroke Lodge was just off Edwardes Square, and has since been demolished.
