Here we see a Panzer III ausf L or M that was knocked out during fighting near Tebourba in Tunisia, during the first failed Allied attempt to reach Tunis in the immediate aftermath of Operation Torch. The ausf L and M were very similar, and combined the long gun with the extra armour seen on the superstructure front.
