One-armed soldier chopping wood

One-armed soldier chopping wood
Here we see King George V, Queen Mary and their third child Princess Mary watching a one-armed soldier demonstrate how he can chop logs of wood using his artifical arm. The picture was taken as Queen Mary's Hospital, Roehampton, which had been founded in 1915 to help limbless soldiers and is still a leading specialist in that area.
