Molotov Signs 1941 Anglo-Soviet Agreement
Here we see the Soviet Foreign Minister Molotov signing the Anglo-Soviet Agreement of 12 July 1941. Standing next to him is the British Ambassador to the Soviet Union, Sir Stafford Cripps, while Stalin stands behind him. The agreement only had two clauses - the two governments agreed to support each other in the war against Hitler, and not to make a seperate peace with Germany.
