Convoy for Marconi 1.5kw Field Set radio
Here we see the two wagon convoy needed to carry a Marconi 1.5kw field set radio. The wagon on the right is the operating cart, containing the wireless equipment. The two wagons on the left contain accumulators (early rechargable batteries) that were used to power the radio. This particular convoy has eight horses to tow the wagons, and a ninth at the front, presumably for the senior officer.
