HMS Broke from the right
Here we see the Shakespeare class flotilla leader HMS Broke from the right. The Broke was used in a daring attempt to land troops directly in the port at Algiers during Operation Torch, to prevent the Vichy French from damaging the facilities. She managed to get her troops onto the harbourside, but was so badly damaged that she sank two days later.
