Captain J.H. Harris, escaped POW from Kut
Here we see Captain. J. H. Harris, of the Hampshire Regiment, who was captured at Kut in April 1916 and managed to escape from Ottoman captivity and reach safety after a journey of 350 miles. This ended with him crossing over to Cyprus (then a British colony) in a Turkish motor boat.
