Port Engines of Handley Page V/1500
Here we see the port engines on the Handley Page V/1500, a massive bomber that would have entered service in significant numbers if the First World War had lasted into 1918. It was powered by four engines, mounted in pairs of pushers and tractors, and this shot gives a clear view of both, with the wing folded
back out of the way. Note the unusual hexagonal radiator in front of the engine.
