Here we see the results from E. Griffin's time at No.1 Air Gunnery School, where he achieved a result of 74.5% and was graded as average (Keen hard working cadet. Achieved average results, air firing poor). It does seem rather odd that his poor performance in actual air gunnery, with an average percentage of hits in training of 3.1% didn't have more impact on his actual result. Griffin went on to serve as a Wireless Operator/ Air Gunner (W/AG) with No.500 Squadron
