Here we see the report from E. Griffin's time at the No.3 Signals School in the summer of 1942, where he was training to become a wireless operator. He went on to serve as a Wireless Operator/ Air Gunner with No.500 Squadron
His grades were 'Excellent' in the theory assessment, 'Above Average' in 'Sigs Org (air) and Average in procedure assessment, practise in the Hawrwell Box (a ground based simulator of the conditions inside an aircraft) and in two types of aircraft training (both of which appear to be H.E. Aircraft'
