General Sir John Goodwin, Director-General of Army Medical Service
Here we see General Sir John Goodwin (1871-1960), who served on the Western Front in 1914-17, then became Assistant Director-General of Medical Services in 1917, before serving as Director-General of the Army Medical Service from June 1918 to 1923. He later served as Governor of Queensland, the first time the post had been held by a medical man.
