German Infantry street fighting, Eastern Front, 1941
Here we see German troops involved in street fighting somewhere in a town in the western Soviet Union early in the German invasion. Note the men clustered around a low infantry gun. The wavy top to the gun shield suggests it might be a captured Soviet model, even this early in the fighting.
