General Haller leaving Paris for Poland, 1919
Here we see General Stanislaw Haller, commander of the Polish Army Corps in France between October 1918 and his departure for Poland in the spring of 1919, about to leave Paris with his staff. Haller had a complicated war, serving in the Austro-Hungarian Army from 1894-1918, before making his way to France via Russia. He then commandered his corps against the Germans, before later playing a part on the Soviet-Polish War.
