This page from Lt. D.W. Gay's Sight Log Book shows us the period from 23 March-5 April 1944
The end of March was still with sightings of Jupiter, Regulus and the Sun all from the Avro Anson and while early April was a mix of sightings of stars and Jupiter from the ground.
