This page from Lt. D.W. Gay's Log Book covers his flight home on 13-18 June 1945.
This involved four flights, one within Italy, one from Italy to Cairo, one from Cairo to Kisumu and one from Kusumu to Pretoria. The first flight was as a passenger in a Marauder, the second on a Liberator and the final two in a Dakota. These were multi-stage flights, lasting some twenty-one hours in total!
