Double Canoe carrying supplies, New Guinea
Here we see a group of New Guinea natives carrying Allied military supplies on a double canoe along one of the many rivers that crossed the New Guinea battlefields. Without local support such as this the Allied offensives early in the campaign would have been impossible.
