Captain and Crew of Brazilian warship Belmonte, 1919
Here we see the captain and crew of the Brazilian destroyer-tender Belmonte, alongside a German mine they had secured on their way to take part in a Brazilian naval visit to Britain early in 1919. The Belmonte was originally built as a German cargo ship and was seized by Brazil in 1917 before being transfered to the Brazilian navy in 1918. Some mentions of her call her an auxiliary cruiser instead of destroyer tender.
