Bren Gun Position near Mateur, Tunisia
Here we see a British Bren Gun position in the hills near Mateur, where the first Allied attempt to capture Tunis in the aftermath of Operation Torch came to an end. The area was the site of heavy fighting for most of the rest of the Tunisian campaign.
