Duke of Bedford inspecting Bedfordshire Regiment, 1919
Here we see the Duke of Bedford inspecting a party from the 1st Battalion, Bedfordshire Regiment, on their return to Bedford after the First World War. Behind him, in civilian clothes, is Lord Ampthill, who had commanded a battalion from the Bedfords on the Western Front (as well as being President of the Magic Circle!).
