Consolidated B-24D lost during Operation Tidalwave
This picture shows a Consolidated B-24D Liberator that crash landed during Operation Tidalwave, the low level attack on the Romanian oil refineries at Ploesti. The picture was rather unfortunately captioned "This U.S. Bomber hit Ploesti".
