Avro Shackleton MR.3 in Flight

Here we see the prototype of the Avro Shackleton MR.3, WR 970, flying over cloud. This made its maiden flight on 2 September 1955 but was lost when it crashed near Foolow in the Peak District on 7 December 1956 with the loss of the entire crew.
