Avro 707 VX784 from the front

Here we see the first prototype of the Avro 707 (VX784) in August 1949, the month before it made its maiden flight. This aircraft was lost in a crash on 30 September 1949. The Avro 707 was an experimental design built to test the delta wing chosen for the Avro Vulcan.
