Avro 707A WD280 from the front

Here we see the first Avro 707A (WD280), which was built for high speed testing of the delta wing selected for the Avro Vulcan. This aircraft was the first of the 707s to have the air intake for the jets in the wing roots - the first two prototypes had them above the rear fuselage.
