Prince Arthur of Connaught presenting colours to Victoria Rifles
Here we see Prince Arthur of Connaught presenting regimental colours to an officer of the Victoria Rifles while that battalion was forming part of the British Army of the Rhine during the occupation of 1919-26. Prince Arthur had served as an aide-de-camp to Generals French and Haig throughout the First World War.
