Crowds greeting British mission to Argentina, May 1918
Here we see a vast crowd that had gathered to greet the British Mission to Argentine at Buenos Aires on 31 May 1918. Argentine stayed neutral throughout the war, but there was a sizable British community, many of whom presumably formed this crowd. The mission was led by a career diplomat, Sir Maurice de Bunsen.
