Here we see the third and final prototype of the Arada Ar 197, a biplane fighter designed for service from the German aircraft carrier Graf Zeppelin. The Ar 197 was cancelled in favour of attempting to modify the Bf 109, but the carrier was never completed, so none of these carrier fighters were ever used in their original role. Here we can see a fuel drop tank below the fuselage, and the arrester hook designed to help the aircraft land on the flight deck.
