US Paratroops on New Guinea
Here we see a group of US Paratroops manning a machine gun, somewhere on New Guinea. This is probably from the fighting for Lae, which saw the first use of American paratroops in the Pacific theatre, when they captured the airfield at Nadzab, twenty miles to the west of Lae.
