USS New Hampshire (BB-25) fires 12in guns at San Marcos
Here we see the Connecticut class pre-dreadnought battleship USS New Hampshire (BB-25) firing her 12in guns at the San Marcos (the former USS Texas (1892)) in Chesapeake Bay in March 1911. The San Marcos was sunk in shallow water in the bay bv the New Hampshire and used as a gunnery target through to the end of the Second World War.
