Mine damage to USS Minnesota (BB-22), 1918
Here we see the Connecticut class pre-dreadnought battleship USS Minnesota (BB-22) in the drydock at Philadelphia Navy Yard on 1 October 1918 showing the damage caused when she hit a mine that had been laid off the US East Coast by a German U-boat.
