Here we see the Cassin class destroyer USS Duncan (DD-46) in moderate seas in the European War Zone, some time in 1917. Even in this weather water is getting onto the deck amidships, and reports from the time reported that movement on deck was almost impossible in heavy weather in the North Atlantic
