This picture of the Wickes class destroyer USS Barney (DD-149) gives a list of the ports she visited during her first period in commission, which included a spell serving in the Black Sea and even a trip up the Danube. Her Dictionary of American Naval Fighting Ships entry doesn't mention this trip at all!
