M3 Stuart Light Tanks at Buna-Gona
Here we see the crews of two M3 Stuart Light Tanks carrying out maintainance on their tanks in the jungles near Buna-Gona on the north coast of New Guinea. Although these light tanks were very vulnerable to Japanese anti-tank weapons, they did demonstrate that tanks could succesfully be used in the jungle.
