M2A4 Light Tank, Guadalcanal
Here we see an M2A4 Light Tank operating on Guadalcanal, the only place where this model was used in combat. This was the first version of the M2 Light Tank to carry a gun bigger than a machine gun, in this case a 37mm gun M5. However the 37mm gun was found lacking against Japanese bunkers, and the M2 was quickly replaced with 75mm armed M4 Shermans.
