BA-10 Armoured Car and KV-2 Heavy Tank, Smolensk front, 1941
Here we see a BA-10 Armoured Car in front of a KV-2 Heavy Tank, during the fighting around Smolensk in the summer of 1941. Although the KV-2 (along with the T-34 and KV-1) came as a nasty surprise to the Germans, they were still able win a crushing victory in the battle of Smolensk, inflicting close to a million casualties on the Soviets.
