Here we see the experimental A.E.G. C.III from the left-rear, showing its unusual layout with the fuselage filling the gap between the wings and the crew positioned above the upper wing to improve their view. This layout wasn't used on the A.E.G. C.IV, which reverted to the more conventional layout of the C.II, with its rather poor view forward.
