Sentry next to BL 9.2in coastal defence gun, UK
Here we see a sentry standing next to a BL 9.2in coastal defence gun, somewhere on the south coast of England during the Second World War. The 9.2in gun entered service in 1899 and remained in use into the 1950s, making it one of the longest serving pieces of British artillery.
