QF 3-pdr Vickers Anti-Aircraft Gun, Kenwood House, 1915

Here we see ratings from the Royal Navy Mobile Anti-Aircraft Brigade manning a QF 3-pounder Vickers gun mounted on a Lancia lorry chassis at Kenwood House in December 1915. At the time the house was being rented by Grand Duke Michael Mikhailovich, who had been exiled from Russia because of his marriage. He offered the house for use as a war hospital. From November 1915 to August 1916 the Royal Naval Anti-Aircraft Mobile Brigade was based in the stables
