Ammo train at RAF Fauld
Here we see an ammo train moving 250lb MC bombs out of the tunnel at RAF Fauld, No.21 Maintenance Unit, Staffordshire. On 27 November 1944 3,500 tons of HE stored in the mine expoded, in one of the largest non-nuclear explosions in history, killing somewhere between 70 and 90 people.
