War in the Air

On the night of 16-17 June Captain R. H.M.S. Saundby, flying an Airco D.H.2., helps shoot down the Zeppelin L48.

War at Sea

USS O'Brien (DD-51) drops a depth charge on U-16 while escorting SS Elysia only 12 miles off Queenstown. The U-boat was able to complete her war patrol as planned.
