Corunna 1809, Philip J. Haythornthwaite

Corunna 1809, Philip J. Haythornthwaite

A 96 page Osprey campaign book written by one of the leading authors on the Peninsular war. It is packed full of 3 D maps, colour artist plates and black and white images and some contemporary photographs of the battle area. It is better organised and laid out than many Ospreys which makes for better reading and includes orders of battle for the forces involved, but does not include advice on war gaming the battles unlike many other ospreys. Well worth a read on a campaign which is often overlooked or misunderstood and especially of interest to those with interest in Sir John Moore.
