Battle of Chmielnik, March 1241 (Poland)
Victory by a Mongol army over the Polish royal army led by Vladimir, the palatine of Cracow, who had been deserted by the king of Poland and was unsupported by the Polish nobility. Vladimir and his army were overwhelmed and killed.
