Zuiho at Cape Engano, 25 October 1944
This aerial photo shows the Japanese carrier Zuiho during the battle of Cape Engano (25 October 1944), part of the battle of Leyte Gulf. The Zuiho was part of the toothless Japanese decoy force that attacked from the north, luring the main American carrier force away from the main Japanese surface attack.
