Liberated Yalta, 1944
Here we see the Crimean port of Yalta, soon after it was liberated by General Yeryomenko's Independent Maritime Army on 16 April 1944. The loss of Yalta left the Germans with only Sebastopol to use to evacuate their forces trapped in the Crimea.
