Yakovlev Yak-9 Taking Off
Here we see a Yakovlev Yak-9 taking off, with the main wheels in the middle of retracting into the wings. The Yak-9 was the last and best member of the family of fighters that began with the Yak-1, and had a cut down rear fuselage and all-round vision cockpit.
