Lt D.W. Gay's War Effort - Raid 17 and Propaganda leaflet

This page from Lt D.W. Gay's 'War Effort' covers raid 16 and includes an example of the sort of propaganda being dropped over the German lines.

Raid 17 was an attack on a sugar refinery at Sermide on 21 February 1945 which was a partial success, but that saw half of the bombs overshoot and hit nearby buildings.

Many thanks to Martin Hampton, the son in law of Lt. Gay, for sending us this material. These pages come from Gay's own private notebook which began with similar infomation to his flight log, but became more detailed, and also included a number of interesting items that had been pasted in.
