Lt D.W. Gay's War Effort - Letter from Ancona
This page from Lt D.W. Gay's 'War Effort' is a letter sent from Ancona, Italy after the war. The author begins by thanking Gay for writing, then passing on greets from his wife, son and parents. Next comes a list of girls who are not yet currently engaged to anyone (Bruan, Maria, Luisa, Valeria, Sandrina etc). After a brief missing section the letter finishes with a thousand kisses and hugs from everyone.

Many thanks to Martin Hampton, the son in law of Lt. Gay, for sending us this material. These pages come from Gay's own private notebook which began with similar infomation to his flight log, but became more detailed, and also included a number of interesting items that had been pasted in.
