Allied Vehicles being unload on Cyprus
Here we see some impromptu tank destroyers being unloaded from a large cargo ship at Famagusta, on the east coast of Cyprus. This was the last island in the Eastern Mediterranean to remain in Allied hands, probably because the German losses during the invasion of Crete were so heavy that it made it too costly to consider an adventure even further east, and outside the range of German single seat fighters.
