Bomb damage to U-boat Pens at Brest
This hole in the roof of the massive U-boat pens at Brest was caused by a 12,000lb Tallboy Bomb dropped by No.617 Squadron during a series of raids in August 1944. The damage appears to be limited largely to the roof, although anything directly below the explosion would probably have suffered damage.
