Temporary Bridge over the River Pruth
Here we see Soviet troops overlooking a temporary bridge over the River Pruth, one of the first places where the Soviets were able to advance across their pre-war border, probably in this case into Romania. This was one of the results of the Dnieper–Carpathian Offensive, a massive Soviet victory that saw them clear the Germans out of most of the Ukraine.
